The coduo rifles ctf server is now running our own brand-spanking new rifles-only mod.

Features:

Both sides get their choice of weapons from all three bolt-only rifles, enfield, kar98, or mosin nagant. No other weapons!

All three rifles should be totally as stock weapons

No scoped bolt rifles, no nades

Yes, you have bash (go get 'em Tags!)


I figured the only way to get you a rifles mod that was just what you wanted was to make it myself. The mod is called zzz_steelrifles.pk3 and it will auto-download to you the next time you connect to the server. It will go into your Call of Duty folder in a new mobrifles folder (you don't need to know this, but some folks are the curious types, lol).

Make sure your downloading is turned on. This sometimes gets funkily turned off in people's games, so if the mod doesn't download to you, jump back to the main menu and make sure it's on.

I tested it as good as I could, but if you run into any problems with it, please let me know.

Okay, the servers back up with the same rifles mod it had before, with the same old hackable garand.

So from now on, the mob players who play this server will have to police it yourselves. I won't be going back through log files for you to ban garand hackers any longer.

P.S. I'm simply amazed at how you can crap on a new mod before you've even tried it. But then again, it reminds me of why I stopped making weapons mods for this clan.

I'm not sure there were any complaints about the server as it was. The only think that I've ever heard was that folks wanted both rifles available for both sides. I think that's because lots of people hate the Enfield.

I am sure I'm not alone in appreciating all of the effort you put into the {MOB} servers Steel.

Did you explain that you removed the Garand because of hacks? All I did was mention that Ci Ci loves the Garand. Apparently I missed the previous conversation about removing it.

Yes I like the garand but I would rather see that everyone else enjoy the game. So Steel do what ever you want to do. I can get use to a different rifle. It's no be deal. besides I would like to see how this game plays out with a choise of guns. I think it would be neat myself. Thanks Capt.

I didn't WANT to do anything. I've heard from the first day I made you the rifles server that everyone wanted it to be bolts-only, everyone choose from the same 3 bolts rifles, without the modified garand. And ever since, several times a week I've had to go through log files to find players you want banned who are hacking that garand to make it rapid-fire. So I finally sat down and made you your own bolts-only weapons mod and capt spit on it before anyone even tried it.

And now you're thanking Capt????

I give up. Like I said, I won't be making this same mistake again. The rifles server's back the way it was and will stay that way and I'm back to being retired from making weapons mods for mob. (And everyone wonders why Scrapyard Bob left shortly after making the Barbarossa and Tuchola maps, lol). ....whatever
