Please, help!
I joined a server about a week ago and now background music plays when I am in the UO menu system, every screen. If I hear that music 1 more time... "Five to one baby, one and five... No one here gets out of line..." Sounds like an old doors tune, but I'm not familiar. Any ideas on customizing/fixing this, even silence would be a HUGE improvement. I checked the menu system and uo_configmp file, but couldn't find anything. If the people that configed their server to do this pop on by and just happen read this thread... Thanks for any help! sh |

Sounds like you guys joined a server that required you to download some mods. I would check your cod files by date, maybe archive the latest into a seperate folder to see if the problem is resolved.

I suck at explaining stuff, but you have downloaded a mod that plays music in the menu.
If you go under program files, call of duty, and go into a folder called "uo". All the .pk3 files will be there, and that's like all the maps plus mods you have downloaded. If you right click and do "arrange icons by" and click "modified" I am almost positive it will show the files in order downloaded (at least mine does). If you list the name of the last 5 on there, we can probably find out which one causes the music, and the only way I know how to get rid of it is by deleting it. lol, I hope that makes sense. -------------------- |

Commanderchoth, this is the list of pk3 files... any look like the culprit? Thx man! If it's the Doors, it's a ZoXo mod. Make a folder called ZoXo. Take any mod that says ZoXo and move it into that folder. The reason that you do not want to throw them away is that you might use them again. To go back to that server without downloading (and its a 40MB download) move the mod into the UO folder and run it. In a perfect world, all mods would install into a folder other than the main UO folder. But the world isn't perfect. If you are using the variation on ZoXo that I put together, a new version without the music will be out in the next few days. miked -------------------- ![]() |

"Five to one baby, one and five... No one here gets out of line..." Five to one, baby, one in five No one here gets out alive Ironically, the odds of 5 to 1 and 1 in 5 are not the same, however, the song is about Viet Nam and your odds of being killed, which were apparently 1 in 5 (not sure if that is true, but it's what the song is about). So, I just googled it to see what it said and came up with many other interesting ideas about what the 5 to 1 meant. 5 to 1 are the odds you will live in a game of russian ruolette with one round in the chamber. 5 to 1 is the number of "young" to "old" in the US. 5 to 1 is the ratio of Blacks to Whites in Viet Nam. 5 to 1 - It's five minutes to 1. 1 in 5 - it will be 1 in 5 minutes. And my new personal favorite: 5 to 1 - 5 fingers around one dick. 1 in 5 - 1 dick in 5 fingers. It's a song about masturbation! LOL! -------------------- |
