There are 18 new maps in the GFM server now, many of which have not even been played once. The map vote option allows selection of any of those maps. Before we add any more, how about first picking the best of these 18 along with the preferred gametype?

Also, some gametypes are not compatible with some maps. Some_Help has matrix which shows the combinations which do not work. (might be good to copy that list to this thread). I recommend that folks not use the vote function to select the gametype unless you know the bad combinations since it is likely to hang up the server. I will eventually modify the MOB control panel so that it can be reset like the other MOB servers. Until then, please be careful.

I would like to know 2 things about this server.

1. Can we increase the speed at which we walk/run, or maybe the amount of time we can sprint?

2. Can we increase the amount of certain weapons that are allowed per team? Example, some maps are geared toward sniping and each team has only one scoped rifle. Can there be 2 or 3 allowed?

Here is the compatibility matrix OMM speaks of...



We were checking out almost all of the maps last night (late), and if you do change the map, stay with TDM if you dont have the matrix handy because there are no problems with TDM and any of the maps!

I agree with nothing, Sprinting is very cumbersome...we run slower than any server in mob it defiantly should be made quite faster and with a longer sprint time. Medics only have the option of selecting the weaker Carbine...Snipers are limited. Light assault troops are overstocked...and on top of it all theres like no cross hair whatsoever...I think we need to fix some stuff...I also think that most of the stock maps aren't necessary. By the way I would also like to recommend Putting in a blood mod. tongue.gif

P.S,
If the tiger is gonna be put somewhere it should defiantly be Barb.

Make everyone but me really slow....

i want to be razor fast. and have flames.

I also want to be really good with the ladies, like I am in real life.

the only thing that needs fixing is spartan. He needs to be neutered, Like bob barker says.

cannot have the likes of him breeding. We already know of the mess that Undead has caused with his demon seed, jeez. now i must train MY son to be prepared to meet his....



OHHH as far as the mod goes, I love it. the sprinting is brutal, especially coming from Ms Steels killer modern weapons freakzone. that is death squared.

One of the main attractions of the GFM mod IS the limitation of the Snipers. As the team size increases another sniper slot will become available, IIRC. They tried to add more realism in this MOD hence, no crosshair unless you are using the scope.

IMO lets use this on an "as is" basis for a little while before we start monkeying with it.

Thanks for putting the Frontline map on. But did you have to limit the tanks to only 10 rounds? It takes 3 tanks to take down one bunker with the rounds limited to 10. It takes exactly 24 direct solid hits to take a bunker down. When you have to fight other tanks etc... it makes it very hard to do that. You also have tanks littering the battlefield because they are abandoned once the 10 rounds are expended.

I play this map on other servers and they have the tanks set like you have the tanks in Barb or Tuch or Broadside set, without limits.

I am not asking for unlimited.. that would be nice and normal.. but more than 10.
