Today I couldn´t get in to MWBA because when I try to connect my multiplayer tries to download Steel´s mod weapon mod althought I already have it in my COD files. This has never happened before and don´t know reason for this. I´ve been playing lately on 355 th´s and CUF league servers, they have their own(?) modern weapon mod versions on their servers but it hasn´t caused any problems earlier. Untill today I tried to go to 355 th server and it started to download their version of Downtown Stalingrad map, or lets say it tried, because downloading didn´t started at all and game was going back and worth between download window and main menu. I had to use Ctrl+Alt+Del to make it stop. Now everytime I´m trying to go our MWBA server, it tries to dl Steel´s mod but nothing happens. I can play only on basic servers and AWE servers and CUF server. Any ideas for this??

I have had a problem similar to this
Blinky all you have to do is delete the 355th, CUF, and MWBA's folders from you uo directory. Then go to the MWBA and download everything all over. That worked for me -------------------- Sig made by Morphine, Thanks man |

Yep, a lot of server admins don't know any better than to put their mods in the /uo folder, which is a big no-no. If you can't tell what the mod files are, you will have to go get the cod multifixer from filefront.com and run it.

I looked my UO folder and noticed there is lot´s of beta files of different maps and their final version and version 2 of your mod, or some earlier version. Does multifixer remove these beta versions as unnecessary files? I removed all CUF and 355 th files, which I recognize, from UO folder and now it seems I can get to MWBA server without need to dl your mod. A lot of servers use older versions of my "zzzzz_steel" modern weapons mods. If they have put them in your /uo folder, that was wrong of them, and you should delete these.
I always configure servers so that all mod files are downloaded to you in an upper level sub-folder, so they won't mess up players. So, you have the mods to play on Modern Weapons BAS and they don't conflict with anything. So, you're good to go now that you've deleted the files that other servers put into your /uo folder. But yes, if you had ran the cod multifixer, it would have removed those files and all custom maps and mods from your /uo folder for you. -------------------- [img][/img]
