Bah, Spearhead was great... they started going downhill with the one after SH. It sucked so bad I can't even remember the name, lol.

For the PC... it was Breakthrough then Pacific Assault. BT was pretty bad, the missions were very frustrating (not fun). PA, the demo was bad so I never bothered to purchase it.

Yes, it was Breakthrough. I couldn't remember the name to save my life. That was where the EA team pulled the development inhouse and fired all the guys that ended up making Infinity Ward. Probably why it sucked so bad.

Actually, the guys from 2015 that made Mohaa left EA and formed Infinity Ward after they made Mohaa. Spearhead sucked balls and was made by other morons. When Breakthrough came out it was not very good, then they patched it and it was far closer to Mohaa then Spearhead and a very good game, but it was too late. Everyone had given up on BT long before the patch came out. BT has leaning like Mohaa and nice maps. Plus the Liberation mode on Bt was a blast. They just waited to damn long to get it right.

I am speaking only of multiplayer for I have not played single player on any of the games. It just bores me too much to kill a non skilled bot, reminds me of playing against Realdeal and Druid too much. dribble.gif

That's what is so odd about COD2. When the ex-2015 folks made COD after doing MoHAA there were a lot of things they changed to make the gameplay in COD better then MoHAA was.

The most glaring example is the infinite respawn of enemy troops until you get passed an invisible checkpoint. I seem to remember that was a complaint about the original MoHAA gameplay (especially in the last mission where you're stealing the MP44 prototype, although it was called something else). There's a spot as you're trying to leave the tunnels where infinite germans will run down the steps to kill you, unless you storm the steps and head back upstairs.

In CoD, they specifically made it so that you didn't have to deal with that sort of nonsense. (At least, I seem to recall that in an interview.)

But in COD2 single-play, I know there were a few spots where I'm pretty darned sure I was fighting infinite germans. Unless I got past a certain spot, I would get wave after wave of germans crawling out of the woodwork.

Damn, interesting. I was almost positive that they(2015) were involved with Spearhead. I'm proven wrong. biggrin.gif
