WTF?
Why are we getting owned by Nashville over and over this year? Wings are usually great cause they have the softest division, now I'm worried. I know Nashville is great this season, but there should still be the intimidation of going up against one of or the best team in the last 15 years. -------------------- ![]() |

Nashville, like Buffalo and Carolina is a surprising team this year. They win games by NOT being intimidated by the opposition and working hard.
Sort of like the Rangers, although they have played a few off games lately. -------------------- ![]() {MOB}... Often Imitated, NEVER duplicated |

Vokoun impressed me. The guy was like a wall & didnt give hardly any rebounds. Nothing we could capitalize on anyway. I hope come playoff's we can avoid them.

and the two most quiet teams this season...
Tampa Bay and Calgary! Well, they're both doing well... actually, LA has been streaking well and they've been pretty quiet. It's all the rookie talk, Mario, Wayne, and Bertuzzi talk this season that's distracting from the teams. I heart Barry Melrose! -------------------- ![]() |

I picked up Stall in my fantasy draft this season and he's worked out great for me so far. Keep going Canes.

So far so good, Wings are blanking the Wild. So in retrospect, was Lang worth Ovechkin? I think this could go back to our previous discussion on talented players on certain teams. As a Capital, he gets alot of ice time. If the Wings had kept that pick and used it on him, I'm sure he'd be seeing some time but no where near the amount he gets in Washington. Detroit just has too much talent and the not-as talented players play well on the team. Hell, where is Lapointe now? Look at McCarty, I think he has 4 Gs for the year in Calgary. Some people might say, "well, Ovechkin is so talented that he'd start right away on the 1st line" but my rebuttle to that would be "Keith Primieu". He came out of the draft as this holier than any player type talk and the Wings started him on the 3rd line and only getting about 6 minutes a game. He bitched enough that he eventually got traded to... hmm, was it Hartford? Was that the trade with Coffey that got Shannahan? Whew, I'm rollin here.. just had to talk some hockey.
I just picked up NHL06 for my pc last night. So far I really like it. I've been playing on the Xbox the last few years but the dvd drive is dead now. I'm kicking ass in the Swedish Elite league, lol! -------------------- ![]() |

My team has Tommy Salo!
I actually like playing the younger guys and get their experience up. Don't need a great goalie if I can keep the puck on the other end of the ice. Damn, I should coach in the NHL, lol. I've coached some HS and rec league teams but I'd love to harness a team full of pure talent like... well, probably any NHL team. Whatever happened to Ted Nolan? He was run out of Buffalo before Ruff took over.... thanks to Hasek. I thought he was a great coach and should be given another shot. There were rumors that he was blacklisted for some reason? -------------------- ![]() |
