A GRIPE ABOUT COD2 Options

i have some gripes and wonder if any1 else is seeing the same. i love when someone caps me from across the map with one bullet with a smg. when i fire on someone it takes nearly a whole clip if theyr moving (dont say head shots either).

ive also noticed that some players are twice as fast as the rest of the players (even partial sprint would be a huge advantage) and the guys who bunnyhop all around and at the last second fire and gt you with 1 shot is ridiculous! getting lucky once in a while is expected .being a great player maybe happen a few times. but more than 15 times a game is stupid!

i dont think punk buster is the answer either! allthough it kicks the newbs-it has been beaten since bf42 first came out !

if i die 38 times (sad!) i can a credit 20 of those deaths to being raped right at spawn! the game itself uses absolutely no skill,run around,shoot enemy! im sure weve heard all this before so ill quit my bitchen! i keep hear the word skill in cod2 -it doesnt belong there yet! ok i said it !(frustated)

I understand your concerns, most new comers to the game or even this genre often become frustrated early on. Yes that does happen, strange shots from across the map and what not but you have to take these things in stride. You can still have a good time even if you have a negative score. Granted I don't have this problem cause I'm probaly one of the ones your referring to with the miracle shots. My advice would be to practice, a lot, memorize every map, player habits, weapon selections, flow, and overall reaction times. He who reacts first wins. As for emptying clips and not killing is quite common, it all depends on how you start firing in the first place, if your on the run and start blasting away then of course your not gonna hit jack. Use the sights more, they have been improved sense the first COD and are much easier to hit with. Find cover around corners, behind boxes, on roofs, where ever, anything to avoid a bullet. It may sound hard to do all of these things, but just try it and practice often, very often. I try to play at least 20 hours a week to keep my skills honed. Hope this helps ya, sometimes games like this just come naturally to some and not to others.

The time can sneak up on ya when you got nothing better to do. I remember one rainy day when I was playing MOHAA.....console (don't remember who was controling it) told me that I had been on for 7 hours straight.

I've seen some amazing things in COD2. Some are clearly glitches, some are just mystifying. I've hit people across the map when I was aiming at someone close. What's even funnier is they were on vent with me. I've seen mg rounds go thru walls on a couple of maps. And I'm pretty sure bullets ricochet in COD2. I don't have any proof, but I swear I've been killed while behind cover by bullets that ricochet.

I have been playing COD for a while now and I believe I am a pretty good player. I bought COD2 a week after it came out. I had to tweak all the settings in my game to get the game to play decent. Now I am up to an average of 50 fps. The gameplay is a little different, but not so much to say that I can be called a noob to this game due to my knowledge of COD gameplay. The main problem is not that I lack any skill in COD 2 just like Undead 1 is mentioning. I do believe it is because of hacks. There are many hacks out there. Some we all know about from recordings of guys that are just really blatent about how they cheat. But there are hacks out there that we do not know about because they are not so easily seen from just spec-ing the players. I have also noticed that there is guys out there that are faster and can take allot more damage than everyone else. I have had a guy in a window in my scope dead on center of his head and fired. He did not die. There is no way that can happen. He was still in the window when I looked the next millisecond after I shot so there is no factor of him possibly moving and me just nicking him. This game will not be fun for most competitors until there is some type of punkbuster available. You never know who is playing legit or who is cheating. Shit, I get accused of cheating in COD by noobs all the time. But I know that there is allot of cheats in COD2. Its no fun because of the cheats. Why practice as much as you mentioned if someone that has no skillz at all in the game but does have a great hack can easily kill you? I have decided to not play COD2, but keep looking at the forums until I see there is a Punkbuster out there for it.

you are exactly right nothing! in all the previous games ive played "patch days " was and always will be my favorite!its a turkey shoot for all the weak ass that cant play ligit! its also funny that alot of the guys you play with often,you wont see for a few days (playing under a new name or getting new exploits!) i have believed in any sport if you play with better players it pays off down the road(not that they are more skilled).the majority of my play is in uo ,but i cant stand being horrible at something (the worst cod2 plyr) lol!

That is not my first instinct. I want to see where its was coming from. I posted before this guy, but if you did not see the post, look at this cheater here. There are guys with similar cheats that are not as easily caught.

There aren't as many cheaters as people think. I have only come across a few since I started playing. I'm sure there are more, but most of them still suck even with the cheats.

bunny hopping is constantly jumping and moving faster as a result. you cant do this in CoD2. jumping once or twice in a up close fight isnt bunny hopping.
no one can move faster than other people. i have never heard of a "speed hack".

Maybe Druid can post the guy I caught recently with cham skins. The best thing about this guy is how poorly he was doing. Sure, he could see guys through obstacles, but that just had him shooting at solid objects and following guys through walls and what not. Yes, there are hacks out there, but so far in all my hours on COD2 I've only found the one so far. There have been quite a few people that I've had to spec for a long time, and quite frankly I've found some great players out there. It's been hard for me to accept, but I went from TDM in mohaa to CODUO BA, and now back to TDM. So there are COD2 guys out there that basically still know that maps, cuz they didn't change that much, and they've been playing TDM the whole time. So at first their skill seemed almost umbelievable to me. How could they be sooooo good? Well, it's cuz they've continued to play TDM while I switched up to BA. Quite frankly I'd challenge some of these guys that kick my ass in TDM to a round of BA and slaughter them. Cuz that's where all my wasted hours of life have gone, lol!

If you think because you dont see the cheats they are using then there is nothing more to say to you. Of coarse you have never heard of a certain cheat. If the cheats are given out to just anyone then it will spread like wildfire and then everyone knows about it and PB will be designed to catch it. Like my days in RA2. i realize there are people our there that write their own cheats. i know someone that is a CAL anti-cheat admin and shes never heard of people using "speed hacks" either. so you played with people that cheated? good for you.

PB only detects the hacks when it knows what they are. it doesnt look for anything abnormal in your cod files, it looks for those specific hacks that it knows about. at this moment, there are a lot of cheaters our there because there is no PB. but quite frankly most people that cheat still suck at cheating. unless its an aim bot, but even then ive seen a lot of people suck with that too. and yes, ive shot people in the head, and upper chest with a scope and not killed them. i know for a fact one of them was someone in 51 so i know its not cuz they "can take more damage". the hitboxes in this game are shitty.
