My trusty Boomslang 2000 http://www.razerzone.com/products/index.html is getting tired. I have been looking at the MX500 and the MX700 from Logitech. Cordless sounds cool, but I am worried about the weight with the batteries.

To all the gaming guru's out there, what mouse do you recommend?

Peace.

I am using the logitech dual optical mouse and it seems to work pretty good. Although I think their driver support leaves a little to be desired

i have a mx-500 and a intellimouse 3.0....
logitechs software for mx series is little too dinky as you can't config. side buttons for leaning., I have leaning enabled with thumb buttons on other mouse and it is excellent...
ps with a wireless one you could get a small lag time to it recognizing the movement

You have to set the two side buttons to backspace and delete since the default is set to WEB "back" and "forward" which is not a standard key stroke recognized by MOHAA.

Using the intellipoint software, change and save you settings, then assign MOHAA tasks to your new buttons.
The side buttons can only be set to a limited number of options in the MS software and I found "backspace" and "delete" the most suitable for MOHAA.

I am also in the market and have been looking at the MX 500 and MX700.

Please give some feedback on either of them if you have'em!

Just switched to an optical mouse myself...a cheapie, like everthing else in my case (with the exception of my video card).

Seems to play really smooth, but....

I have the bad habit of picking the mouse up and moving it, developed during my months of play with the ol' ball mouse. Gets me killed in close quarters all too often! LOL

YO BRO.........HELP WITH THAT..........well what u gotta do is assign it to enter or space or whatever other KEY button ( YOU CAN GO INTO THE PROGRAM THAT CAME WITH THE MOUSE AND CHANGE IT IN THERE) and then when u go to the OPTION in MOHAAS, u click the button and its gonna assign it then! I had that mouse too but it sucks, couldnt get used to the LEAN buttons , so i got myself the cheaper kind and it works better than the other one......I HAVE INTELLIMOUSE OPTICAL, and its got 1 button on each side perfect for leaning,,,,,,,,,,,some of you guyz might have noticed that IMMY has been leaning a bit too much lately biggrin.gif but all i can say is KILL YA.........
