Tyrant's post on eliminating the PPSH got me thinking about how we could improve our performance in TWL matches. (Tyrant, I hope my disagreement with your recommendation was not taken as a personal negative response to you. I was still a bit upset over our last match loss.)

Anyway, Leadmagnet steered me into a server that had Reflective Fire enabled. After playing a few rounds in that server, I became convinced that turning on the Reflective Fire in our server could very much improve our performance in TWL matches. Here's why:

1) All TWL matches have Friendly Fire enabled. While this is not the same as Reflective Fire, it will force the same precaution when throwing granades and shooting in close quarters with your team mates.

2) During the TWL matches, I can feel my own performance is inhibited by being overly cautious during close combat. More time playing on a Reflective Fire server will likely improve all of the MOB team performance.

3) Since we all play our server more than any other, why not be improving our TWL match capabilities at the same time? Of course practice scrims are better, but they seem so hard to get going.

4) If we want to recruit from our server, it would give us some feedback on how the person would play in the friendly fire environment.

5) It's time for a little change on the server. Heck, it would be fun to see the reaction of players experiencing reflective fire for the first time and if it changes how 51, atrox, etc play.

After some discussion, I see the error of my suggestion.

The public server has so many more players than in a match, one could hardly throw a granade without sustaining injury. Also, all the top clans run their public server without reflective fire.

Bottom line: I no longer think it is a good idea to turn it on.

Carry on .......
