PB Client in Distress Options

I keep getting kicked off the Barbarossa server with a Punkbuster message saying PB Client in Distress. Anyone know whats going on here? It's not happening on over COD-UO servers.

This normally points to server & client versions mismatch or the client trying to update but failing, but I doubt thats the case here since you don't have the same problem on Tuchola Forest.

Just to make sure post back what version your using.
You can find out by opening the game & typing /pb_ver

Your version should be 1.270 if your version is current.

hey druid i was just playing with you-i got rebooted again but now im realizing that its on certain maps-kurskand tuchola happend mid day yesterday and lag valley last night.tonight when we were going into kursk it happend again.i updated pb today,any ideas?

Hi Guys,

I have also been getting kicked from ALL MOB servers since the PB update. I have tried manually updating the version to no avail. Checked and my current version is v1.270. Any ideas how to fix this.

My wife would sure be happy if I wasn't able to play anymore but it would be a bummer for me

its gotta be pb whino,i just logged on to a different server and rebooted. just went back to update again and made sure it was updated on each server(like druid said with console pb_ver)had all oks and havent gotten kicked yet.

Thanks Druid, I put in the /pb_ver and yes it is now updated to 1.270. I found out last night that if you type into console pb_security 0 that allows the client and the server to match up and I guess it allows the update to come from ther server. It worked on mine, and I was able to get into Barbarrosa with no problems. Thanks again.

I think I figured it out.

When I was DL the pbsetup file I was running it and the files were not going to the pb folder in my COD folder. I saved pb_setup to the pb folder in my COD folder and then ran it. This seemed to fix it alhtough I haven't fully tested the game yet. I also reduced quality of a bunch of game settings to reduce my memory usage. We'll see what happens when I turned them back up.
