Another win for the COD2 team which moves us back up in the top 10:
![]() Boy, we were scrambling to find a fourth player this evening after Dirty Harry's COD2 game stopped working. Luckly Ouch agreed to take a break from COD UO and to help us avoid a forfeit. In addition, Gene had just notice the Match announcement and dropped by to help even though it had been a month since he had played. The big surprise was how well Ouch and Gene did in the first quarter, leading MOB to a 14 point advantage. By the second quarter, Rush took over and helped push us up another 13 points for a 27 point lead at the end of Carentan. We knew that Battery would be pushing us hard with the PPSH since they started Russian in the Railyard map. We mostly camped in the East machine gun building hoping to hold back any significant gains. They tried to push across the railyard with machine guns while west side snipers on the third and second floor tried to pick us off. That worked fairly well for them. But the last quarter we showed them how to run and gun with the PPSH. We worked the tank room and really pounded them as they kept rushing us in the hopes of making a big score. As you can see, the big score was for MOB with all us positive and all of them negative. I noticed that they reported the Stalingrad score reversed in TWL but we still had enough points in Carentan so that we showed as the Match winner. Unfortunately there is no one above us to challenge so it looks like we will be defending in the next match. But it is nice to be back in the top 10. Old Man Mike |
