what happend to stock maps? Options

i had the night free last night (fri) and it doesn't happen often.was stoked to get on some stocks but empty until 10 pm ,wtf i just went to bed ? where is every one, most of the other stocks servers are full.

Maybe this is first sings stock maps are loosing interest among ppl or they have bored to be by Hamma, Cross... etc. on our stock server and have moved elsewhere. No meaning to offend you guys anyway. This has been discussed earlier, many opinions has been brought up and we should do something quite soon.

For example, when I first started to play bas, I was a regular guest on Dev stock server for many months, untill I found our Barb server with a help of my friend. Since then it has been a second home for me. Waiting other players to show up to our stock server all day and seeing all friends having fun on other servers can´t be the only answer for this. Ideas

I was checking ventrilo after our scrimmy last nite and saw most the regulars on stocks channel, so I figured they were playing.......this was around 10:00pm CST. Not sure why those servers were empty though. Too bad, as a free evening doesn't happen often, eh?

Thats a great Question Undead 1.I've been thinking the same thoughts for about a week or two.Lately i have'nt been playing much,don't get in thr till late,but i have noticed its empty alot..I think many of our Regs have migrated to the Barb server getting prep for the scrim comeing up.

I've been on Barb the last few nights honing my long shots. But usually I'm on stocks as are a few others. Friday nights tend to be a small turnout anyway. I figure Mech is right with the scrims this week on Barb. Stocks is fine but another map tossed into the rotation couldn't hurt.

we should have a stocks night or something.we are currently #1 in twl in stocks but tf and barb are the only ones full. i don't know much about how things work but i think with out a popular stocks server ,could be bad for the barb and tf servers.adding maps isn't the answer,although ive suggested it many times. i saw csa was dead for a while but lately a bunch of them log on and play themselves and next thing you know-full.this is at different times of the day too ,not just at night.

I never see anyone in DeV's stock server either, even tho Piranhas sits in there all day long so it won't be empty. Maybe MOB and DeV are just too good, lol. Ouch and I were playing on CSA server the other day and even tho other clans were in there we were consistantly the top scorers.
Realistically speaking, it seems that CSA's stock maps server is usually going strong because they almost always have 4 or 5 CSA guys in there. Our stock maps fill up quickly when we get 4 or 5 of us playing at once.

Most of the week it has been full ,or nearly full......Fridays do tend to slack of abit (dont know why).

This just helps prove my point that we (MOB) has driven out any passer-by, noobs, and even regular players from our stock server because they just get owned! They don't do well enough to enjoy playing here. I also have been hitting CSA, BBD, and couple of other servers and consistantly score waaaaay up top when I do.



Bar is right, we are too good. Several have been aliasing to hide the fact they are MOB. I think this helps. The server actually seems to be picking back up slightly. About a month back there was strecth of a couple of weeks that no-one was on...even at 10pm.



I've also been watching the other BA servers and there seems to be a big drop in the overall number of people playing BA. Only a handful of the BA servers are active anymore. I remember a year ago when there were litterally a couple/few dozen BA servers with people on them.



Unfortunately I dont know what the answer is.

10. Stocks players got new consoles for Christmas and the new hasn't worn off just yet....

9. Parents are hogging precious computer time looking for second jobs to pay for their kids' new consoles....

8. Grade cards came home and now all the stocks players are grounded off the computer and their consoles....

7. Had to sell the computer to pay for heat and electricity...to be comfortable while playing on our shiny, new consoles....

6. Choosing between new operating system/new computer/and gaming console....console won......

5. Got banned off of every UO base assault server......switched to console.....

4. Upgrade video card, or buy two new console games?...Hmmmmm......

3. Switched to COD2.....computer won't run it.....begged mom and dad for console....got grounded....

2. Bored with stocks.....can't afford new console......spends time playing console at Walmart....

1. Hoping Hamma, Cross, and Canuck got new consoles.......nope still there.....damn.....

And those, ladies and gentlemen, are your top ten reasons that stock maps don' have as many players.

well I'm seeing a lot of old time regulars of stocks in other servers like rsnipe,baddad -hell , i even saw baconfat (don't know if it was the same) the other day.im not buying the "were to good excuse" dev has 15 guys on their server almost every morning around 10 am.before i was involved in mob i looked for servers (still do) that the admins werent a bunch of dicks and i actually stopped playing mob for a while because of some run ins with cleaner but since hes been gone the skill level has always been the highest.i also would join the server if alot of their clan were/are playing because i know we will have a good game and there wont be any noobs tking and what not.im not trying to get my hate mail box to fill up again , just wondering.

i think broadsword is dead and laggy,there are alot of new maps that are very cool out there.i love dragoon ,wessel 2, the ax foy is awesome,we could do Kharkov -i played a really cool map on 355th the other day called frontline b/a,with anti tank guns lots of tanks , assault and snipers.

We need to do something to juice it up. Only thing it seems people are into now are modern weapons,planes,and custom maps. IMO if they want that go play Bf2. Adding some different maps in might help it at bit. I also think that us not taking any crap like people just randomly shooting tk'ing and usint the team chat like a chat board is why we dont get people. But really id rather play with around 8 mob/regs than play with 15 tards just talking about what happen at school or who they got with last nite.
