STRYKER in IRAQ Options

Hello everyone, Most of my MOB brothers may remember my buddy STRYKER. It was his daughter, who's 8 and my son, who's 9, that caused some mischief on the MOB barb server awhile back. hehe...Little angels they are..hahah....



Anyways back in Sept-06, STRYKER turned 40, and for his 40th bday, he re-enlisted in the Army. He's a Calvery Scout with the 1st Cal Div. He is now about 40 miles to the N.E of Bagdad. He scored expert in Marksmanship, and they were thinking of letting him have the 50cal sniper rifle,,,which kinda makes me laugh for that gun is probably bigger than he is.



I really don't like our troops to play "policeman"....Troops are for one thing in my mind, and that is to kill the enemy. Which is probably why the Army Recruiter told me, and I quote, "We don't need any John Wayne types". That kinda hurt... I guess I think more 19th century. The last thing I would want is War, but If I go to war, then I will kill them all. Dead bodies can't place roadside bombs is my thought. Anyways, I just wanted all of you to know.



I talk to him about once every two weeks or so, his Platoon name is the Cro-mags..haha. So another buddy of mine is going to burn him a disk full of Cro-mags music. I am putting together a care package for him and his buddies.



One last thought, He and I think that we are going to go into Iran. Im not sure when, If I were to guess, I would say Spring of 08.



Stryker and I have been good friends for about 25 yrs now. He's as close as a blood brother and I pray to the Almighty to keep him safe. Thanks for listening. May God bless the USA.

My brother just got back from a 4 month tour with the RAF ,gaurding Basra airport...in 4 months he had 364 rocket attacks on the base,each rocket was a 333 mm aircraft rocket.

I'm pretty sure it will be sooner rather than later.
The misadventure seems to be revealing itself. I doubt there'll be any ground assualt in Iran. If we don't have 300,000 troops needed to pacify Iraq, look at the size of Iran-where would the half-million ADDITIONAL troops come from to even take-on that country.
Any spare troops will now be redeployed to the Afghanistan border in my opinion. Things are threatening to re-surge there in a major way now that jihad has been declared against Pakistani troops on the border regions -watch for it very, very soon.
The neo-cons are spent AND the generals/politicians/public are backing them and Bush into a very very tight corner.

Hey all, I just wanted to let you know that STRYKER should be on his way back to the States as I type this!!



I just wanted to let you know that He's only coming here by the Grace of God Almighty...aka The God of Israel. Hes Platoon was Ambushed as they were going to try and Capture some bad guys,,,the bad guys knew we were coming, and what was suppose to be a 1 hour mission turned into a 20 hour firefight, and during that battle, an Gernade landed 2 feet from his head and it didn't go off!!! Praise God!



To my friends here locally, they call me Moses, I now look like Moses after he came down off the Mountain! Since my hair is turning White at a high rate of speed!



I just wanted to share this with you all. He should be back here in Nebraska around the 21st of this Month.

What a hero Stryker is!!!! I am so glad he is safe and on route home.

He put his life in harms way for all of us, and for that will never be forgotten.

Let him know that he always has family here and we look forward to some long nights of gaming with him!!!

Thanks for letting us know. I was always wondering how he was faring since you first posted the thread and especially since we just heard Sgt.Thomas is on his way over there.

I just recently saw a video taken by an overhead drone showing an israeli patrol in a desert with two palestinian guerillas hiding yards from them in bushes. Once they were spotted all hell broke loose at close quarters including head-on charges face-to-face and two grenades going off within yards of everyone. The patrol suffered no fatalities and the guerillas were killed. But seeing those nades go off at their feet without killing the Israelis was beyond belief and the whole thing looked very scary and chaotic -all over in seconds.

I know in WW2 German nades going off had a 'blind spot' where if fate smiled on you, even lying next to it you'd get away with a concussion as I read in a G.I's case. Thanks again for keeping us updated and you'll inform him we're thinking about him.
