Sort of looks like they stole the plot from almost every A-Team episode, doesn't it? Lock up good guy with all the tools to make his own weapon to break out? Is that the comic book plot as well? Maybe the A-team ripped them off! flamethrowingsmiley.gif

I was an Ironman fan many years ago. Did not read him a ton but liked him quite a bit. I got a little put of when several years back they tried to reinvent the character and decided to make him gay. (No, I am not kidding) It pretty muched bombed and they dropped that idea pretty quick. I have not followed the comic since then. so, I also, have mixed emotions about the flick. I heard George Michael plays Tony Stark.

i never knew that, weird.ive always known the Iron man as a bad ass with Black sabbath playing in the back round, lol, cant picture him fighting george michael. i have to say with the exception of the hulk ,punisher and first batman series, ive been very impressed with the comic movies made.one of my all time favorite comic to movie was Conan , yes thats right the one with arnold.i read they are remaking that series too and im afraid that with out oliver stone directing it ,it will not stand up to the original comic. i was scetchy when they made spidey and walked away impressed so we will see i guess....george michael though, uhg ,im hoping your joking snot.

As for Conan, I totally agree, a very good movie because it was a strong adaptation to the actual character from the novels of Robert Howard. Arnold was a very good typecast because he was over the top HUGE. Actually, Arnold tells the story how he showed up for productions in excellent shape after some competition, and the director took one look and told him he needs to work out and get bigger! Arnold then spent 3 months pumping up for the part. The comics were also very good adaptions to the novels.

WB is reportedly getting ready to go into production this year on a new Conan film. Robert Rodriguez is supposedly the director and it looks as if the new movie takes place 20 after the first. Which means they may be going to use Arnold again. Rodriguez directed Grindhouse and Sin City so that is very promising!

I agree with the Puinsher movie. Certainly one of my all-time favorite comic hero's. Really disappointed in the movie. But that was before the Spiderman, Sin City, Hellboy, and newer Batman movies showed how it should be done.

I was really excited to see that an Edgars Rice Burroughs favorite of mine is in pre-prodcution with a release "before 2012". No, not Tarzan, but THE John Carter of Mars series. The director is Andrew Stanton who has brought us Toy Story, Ratatuiule, Finding Nemo, Cars, The Incredibles which are master pieces in computer graphic art. However, it appears the movie may be way to family friendly for me. So I'm torn here also.

i just hope they dont do all kinda special effects crap or computer generated characters with conan, its simple ,conan kills everything and every one and its bloody and its cheap.conan started with the original comics,it was cool to go into a farm store of 7-11 and look at the cool new cover and see what beast he was going to be slaying. when they released the arnold movie i was stoked (10 though) and was sooo excited i snuck into an afternoon matinee-was awesome! to this day when im working the bar ,every once and a while ill put the movie in on the 60 inch flat screen and every one is glued -funny.

the punisher with dolf lundgren was the right story but it was just dumb, its a series ,he cant kill the whole mob in one movie? the newest one i wont even comment-garbage.

i like this thread ,im a collector but mostly of spidey ,xmen ,superman and batman and its great to see these books make it to the screen . i do have alot of random comics that are very rare.

All 3 Spiderman movies had the same story, MJ in trouble and spiderman to save her.

I like Superman 1, 2 and Superman Return was ok.

Batman.....i only like the first Batman and when Batman cameout again i like it.

the Hulk....just CRAP....I like watching Hulk on the tv show.

Conan by far one of my fav movies all time.

they are remaking the hulk which is a good move i think. i would like them to do a short series called secret wars ,which was done in the 80s between all the good guys against all the bad,its where spidey first got his black suit.

I think the comic book movies are some of the best action movies now.

Loved the new Batman. Far superior to the old ones, though I did like the first one back in the day. doesn't hold up over time though.

Loved X-men.

Enjoyed the new Superman a lot. Enjoyed the first 2 back in the day as well, but again, don't hold up now that I'm older.

Spiderman movies are decent, but I wouldn't mind a "darker" version, less focused on his and MJ relationship. They just aren't "intense" enough when half the plot is whether MJ will forgive him for missing a date because he was trying to save countless lives. Or whatever. smile.gif

I know I am missing some good ones. Even the ones that weren't that great, I didn't mind. Including Hulk and Fantastic 4.
