1000's of years ago, there was no media. The only method of communication was by person to person, whether it be by land or sea. If someone did not come from that place and tell you what was going on, you'd have absolutely no clue what's happening in the world. With all of the high-tech mediums of communication we have today (telephone, TV, radio, AIM, e-mail, message boards), information and news travel at the speed of light (literally)! But I'm sure you're often told that you can't believe everything you're told on the internet and the news media, correct? That's because you can't. It's called propaganda. At least 90% of people get their news from CNN, Fox, ABC, CBS, MSNBC etc. Now, imagine if one group of people controlled the mediums that reached your family room. They could make you believe whatever they want. Don't forget, without the media telling you what's going on in Iraq, you'd have no clue. The little known problem with America is that the media is controlled by the government. Chances are what you think is what the government wants you to think, whether you know it or not. This article explores the effect of propaganda using historical examples from Joseph Goebbels (Hitler's propaganda minister), to the infamous Russian newspaper Pravda, which spread propaganda in Stalin's favor.

Pravda, which means "truth" in Russian (what a great name for a propaganda newspaper), was the official publication of the communist party in the Soviet Union. This newspaper was the most popular in Russia, and did nothing but spit out Stalin's propaganda about how he's the great leader and you should worship him. This paper basically told the people that whatever Stalin did was right. A good mention of this is in the book Animal Farm. Pravda is represented by Squealer the pig.

Joseph Goebbels was Hitler's infamous propaganda minister. Back then, propaganda was almost like a game, and Goebbels was an all-star. There weren't many people in history capable of swaying people as well as Goebbels did. He was able to take a nation of smart, literate people and turn then against the Jews and on the side of Hitler and his wars. A critical night in the definition of Goebbels' propaganda career was the night of November 9th, 1938: Kristallnacht("The night of broken glass"). A nazi officer from France was assassinated by a Jew who had fled from Germany the previous year. Goebbels siezed on this and with his persuasion skills created much more anti-semitism in Germany. The nights of November 9th and 10th saw the arrest, arson, and siezure of Jews and their property.

Both quotes by Joseph Goebbels. Those are very evident today when looking at our propaganda machine.

In present day America, there are more efficient methods of reching the masses. There were no televisions during the Nazi Germany era. Now every single person has a TV, and most people watch the world news with Peter Jennings and Tom Brokaw every night. What's little known is that the media is controlled by the government. Everything you see on the mainstream media (CNN, ABC, CBS, MSNBC) is all controlled and is what the government wants you to see. This is why the government is able to get away with so much terrorism, because they have the means of making you believe what they want you to believe. They have the power to turn us all into sheep.

No one is immune to propaganda. I will admit it: I thought Iraq had weapons of mass destruction around my 14th birthday in 2003 (Monday, March 17th, when Bush delivered his ultimatum to saddam). I was all for the war, then when I tried to debate why we should go to war with people (mostly from Europe) they all called me a robot programmed to repeat anything I heard on the news media. Thank God that I've grown out of that and became smarter. I've realized that it's all propaganda, but most people haven't yet. Propaganda is more powerful than we think, and Americans are the target of the biggest, most technologically advanced mind control machine in history. With the expansion of the television in the last half century and the internet revolution in the last decade and a half, there are now more ways than ever to turn the people into sheep. Had it not been for propaganda, we would've never backed a war in Iraq.

Another thing about propaganda is the way it covers up the evils of the government. Ever notice how people like me who believe that 9/11, the Kennedy assassination, and the Oklahoma City bombing were inside jobs by the government are labeled as "conspiracy theorists" and conspiracy nuts? That's because of propaganda. The mind control machine has made such a good image for the government that most people think it would never harm us. Another thing propaganda does is make the image that our leaders are very christian/conservative, which is false. Because of that, all of the rural areas and the south that are very religious back our leaders no matter what, and back the war. They think the war in Iraq is a religious crusade.

The original reason for the invasion of Iraq was weapons of mass destruction (which the leaders knew Iraq had none of). Even after admitting that Iraq has no weapons of mass destruction, at least 30% of people still believe Iraq has weapons of mass destruction and that Saddam Hussein was behind 9/11. Now that we know there are no weapons of mass destruction, the propaganda flip-flops. It shows how good the elections in Iraq went (even though they are staged just like our own), and they say that the reason for going into Iraq was to liberate it and bring elections, not weapons of mass destruction. The general public has boughten it.

One of the things that Hitler and Stalin both had in common was a form of propaganda glorifying themselves. The propaganda would usually be a poster showing a giant headshot of the leader and say "This our great leader, worship him because he loves you and he protects you" and the such. This was evident at the 2nd inauguration of Lord Bush. Whenever there were boos, an announcer would come on and say "Here's your First Lady Laura Bush, and your President George Bush! Wave to them! Let them know you love America!" Then on the news all the anchors were fawning over Laura Bush's dress and George's suit. I remember clearly many of them saying "O how beautiful she is! How sharp George looks with that red tie!" over and over again. Although you may not notice it, this is a form of propaganda, mostly associated with dictatorships, such as those of Hitler, Stalin, and Hussein.

This is just scratching the surface of mind control. So turn off the TV, don't watch World News Tonight, don't watch Fox News, don't watch CNN, you'll just be fed the same crap the government wants you to know. Free yourself from the propaganda, and you will not believe the official government story for the next big terrorist attack. You are NEVER immune to propaganda, but knowing the nature of it and the goal of mind control, you're more conscious of what's going on.

yes i am... and ive devoted the last 6 months of my life to learning and spreading the truth about 9/11 and the current state of the political climate that is mostly unknown.

So why should you believe what someone writes on the internet more then what someone says on one of the news channels. Also, learn to use proper punctuation and capital letters. You loose credibility when you can't even do those things correctly. Oh yeah, forgot one thing, stop spelling you with a fucking 'u'. It makes you look even more retarded.

One more thing. Why would the news channels, who the government controls of course, bash our current administration constantly? Seems to me that if they were trying to spread their propaganda, they would praise the current administration.

for that EXACT reason that u just said. to make ppl question it when people like me expose the truth. in other words, just a distraction. as long as the people dont know the REAL issues, then the government is happy. most ppl dont know about the patriot acts, most people dont know about the national ID card system going thru congress right now, most people dont know about the truth of 9/11 and many other attacks, most people dont know a lot of real issues. the whole left-right paradigm is a distraction as well. work with me here... think critically. when fahrenheit 9/11 came out, the liberals loved it, the conservatives called it liberal bullshit propaganda (which it was). when someone comes out with the truth of 9/11 they call them "liberals" and o the evil "liberals"... that's y i dont get caught up in that bullshit... the liberals like taking away the conservatives' rights, the cons like taking away the liberals' rights, and in the end all rights are gone. and you're right, i can't believe everything on the internet, but i'd be much more apt to believe something on the internet than on the news. and that's y i look for numerous sources (like 10 for an item before believing it)...

You do know that both of those are all over Slashdot, CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, Drudge Report, and just about every other news site right? Oh wait, I forgot, you don't watch/read those because they spew out propaganda.

I like how you call those sites sources. What evidence do they have besides what people say? Just because 5 people out of 100 say "OMG I swear I saw this great flash of light came and blew it out of the sky" doesn't mean it really happend. People see what they want to see, and if those people were already the types that think the government is just a big conspiracy, they are probably going to think that they saw some missile blowing it out of the sky. Apparently you haven't studied psychology yet.

And another thing. Why would most of the media say that it's going so bad over there in Iraq, and how the Iraqis hate us there and blah blah blah, when most of the soldiers say that they are glad to have us there, and most are glad that Sadam is out of power and gone? Oh wait, I forgot, the media is suppose to tell us one thing, and then I bet the soldiers are supposed to tell us another. Yeah, we can fool them like that while were over there stealing all the oil. Just like we did the first time we were there and had the perfect chance. Oh wait maybe we just forgot the first time, maybe that's why were over there now.

You forgot to mention that not just the U.S., but the rest of the Western world provided Sadam with chemical weapsons. The reason the West did nothing during the Iraq-Iran war is because they were using Sadam to stop any spread of Iranian-style Islamic fundamentalism to the rest of the oil-rich Middle East. Also, the UN vote on whether to condem Iraq for human rights violations failed 11-8, hence the reason the U.S. did nothing.

i do indeed know about psychology. they actually had a part on the howard stern show one time about flight 93 if i could dig that clip up somewhere and they came to the conclusion it was shot down. but all i need is rumsfeld's admission. cause rumsfeld wouldnt say something like that in that way if he didn't MEAN to say it. you're points about the news mentioning patriot act and what not are taken well, but most people have no clue the real meaning of the patriot act, and most people have no clue there's a patriot act II ready to get passed. the media's not talking about that.

although i should've done more research before writing this article... i dont know that much about the mind control machine other than that the media's controlled by the government and what not... my next article will be much better than this one.

ummm, when you write these kinds of articles i think you should actually do the research. If you talk like you don't know the whole story that will make you lose your credability also.
