Ok, alot of people don't know about this application. It's a minimizer program, that allows you to go back to the windows desktop without closing the game. Download this file HERE. I hope this will help everyone out, but not it doesn't work for macs.

mac you can do that, I just dont think you need a program....

You can use Alt-Enter to force COD:UO to a window, then you can access your desktop or start menu without requiring another program running.

Right, alt+enter works-for cod and many others. But the only catch is, it works effectively only at the splash screen. If your ingame then it has to re-render the entire map, and then when you full screen it again, it has to re-render again. I have a fast system and it still takes a while. but with this i just press ctrl+z and poof, desktop. But whatever floats ya boat! Just thought I'd throw it up here.
