Hey Guys, I was just wondering if anyone has been keeping up with the NBA playoffs, especially now that the Finals are here? The Mavs finally made it to the Finals after something like 7 straight playoff appearances, so I'm pretty excited. They've played the Heat very well in the regular season, so hopefully they'll be able to do the same in the finals. Any thoughts on the Dallas/Miami matchup?

FINALLY SOMEONE IN THE MOB FORUMS WHO LIKES A SPORT OTHER THEN THE WHITE SOX AND HOCKEY ! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU !

my thought ( being from chicago..) i want to see the Heat crash and burn, and have been a huge mav's fan ever since they picked up Steve Nash so long ago. The mav's have Dirk playing MVP ball, he's taking the offense charge for them and needs to keep that up (he's not neccesarily SELFISH but he needs to drop 30+ a game to make up for losing Nash and Finley's scoring from recent playoff appearances..) i give a lot of credit to Mr. Avery Johnson (one of my favorite point guards of all time) for doing what Don Nelson could never do, by giving the Mav's a kick in the ass and turning them in a hard-working ball club that doesn't just soley rely on offense to win games. Kindof like what Scotty Skiles has done for the bulls.

GO MAV's ! DIE SHAQ !

To bring this back on topic...

Go MAVS!!!! Hopefully work will be pretty crazy the next couple of weeks. It was a madhouse when the Stars won the Stanley Cup.

Armstrong is a great tipper, btw. He's left me 100% before. Daniels, however, recently left $5 on a $145 dollar tab. That's almost as bad a Scotty Pippen.

LOL, no tippin pippen, lol.

That's exactly his nickname in the restaurant/bar circles. For a man with 5 gold championship rings, he is incredibly stingy with his money.

Larry Johnson (who used to play with the Knicks) is a great guy and a great tipper. He was always bringing friends into the restaurant and treating everyone well and knows how to tip appropriately. He even asked how you were doing and was sincere about it. If there was a waiter or bartender he was used to seeing that wasn't around he'd ask how they've been and if they were alright.
Great guy.

There is a young guy on the Mavs that comes into the bar a lot. He's a reserve forward, but his name escapes me. I think he's a second year guy. Most of the time when he comes he has his girlfriend pay, and last time I served him he let his buddy buy. He's still young, so I don't expect too much from him tip-wise, and never orders much more than a couple of appetizers anyway. But it's odd that who ever he's with almost always pays.

You know, it's probably wrong for me to talk about NBA guys and their tipping habits.
Oh, well. tongue.gif
