Just wanted to point out the anniversary. Everyone should check out or Tivo "Day After D-Day" on History Channel tonight, it looks great. 8 pm EST.

My thanks go to all whom have family who served. You are not forgotten, and never will be to me. All gave some, some gave all.

Sincerely,

D-day -> A great endeavour indeed, pez! wink.gif

Let's not forget the monumental task by the planners who put it all together; the innovators for beach fortress busting equipment, the SOE and other agents assisting in clandestine prep operations and also the French Resistance, and the various supply units, particularly those caught in the near typhoon conditions that smashed into the beach-head not too long after D-Day.

Yeah, that show "day after dday" showed a lot of what happened on the beach heads after the Allies secured them. All the troops coming in and out, all the armor, jeeps, medical and food supplies. Simply an amazing feat.
