So this past weekend, I went to a friend of a friend's house. It turns out that he is a WWII enthusiast like I am so I wanted to check out his stuff. OMG! This guy is into German military stuff and has a few rooms in his house packed with stuff. It was fascinating to see his collection. Helmets, hats, knifes, Lugers, medals, patches, books, ammo, fragged helmets and boots, dogtags, binoculars... anything you could think of, he has it, down to the german gasmask for a horse. In his garage, he has a motorcycle/half trak thing. It's so tiny to even sit in, but he takes it around the property a lot. Pretty scary. His collection dwarves my own and I only collect Allied material. It's not that I can't get German stuff, just don't think I'd want SS knives laying around the house.

This is me next to his MG42. Directly left of the manequin leaning on the wall is a FG42, out of the pic unfortunately. This is only 5% of the stuff in that room.

This is my posing like a retard w/a German patrol flag next to the Trak thing.

That's cool! Hope he doesn't have any live grenades. On Halloweens he should dress up in the uniform and drive that bike around the neighboorhood yelling jibberish sounding like German. lol

I'll bet he could, has enough uniforms and junk to do it with. I'm wondering though, if that would freak out the children more than the adults? biggrin.gif

The he should stick out his arm like the nazi salute and say "You must be this tall to ride Ze bike!" Ofcourse in a German accent and yelling.

Hmmm, I think a better thread title would be Wehrmacht enthusiast. Nazi enthusiast would be more swastikas/ss uniforms.... but correct me if I'm mistaken Pez; he sounds like more of a genuine military collecter than a Fascist nutjob wink.gif

Hmm, yes... he could be considered just a German military enthusiast but he has so many SS and Nazi items, it's kind of scary. For example, why would he need a syringe with a swastika on it? Why all the nazi youth knives. I didn't get into all that before because I was trying to post about the stuff I appreciated. biggrin.gif I thought the title was funny though... like the title to a made for tv movie.
