Hello there,
Long time player, first time forum.. . guy. So everytime I play. . . most any server I get kicked for 'PB INIT FAILURE' I have no idea what this means or how to correct it. Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you in advance, Stoney PS I use MAC. . . if that helps |

Here is the site that Harry gave the other day to fix your punkbuster. If this does not work you might have to uninstall it then reinstall it. Punkbuster updated their server software on Monday and lots of people (myself included) have been having problems. The Apple security model is quite stringent and often Mac users can't automatically download the latest version. Pulling down the console (by hitting the Tilde key "~") before joining a server and typing:
/pb_security 0 Will allow your PB client to interact with the server properly, even though you don't have the latest version. Go to http://www.evenbalance.com to manually download the latest version. |

Man,
first off, thank you very much for the info. . . unfortunately nothing seems to be working. I have downloaded the new PB and put it in my htm folder. I have run the pbset up program. and I type /pb_security 0 before connecting. . . now I still get kicked for 1min for "trying to load new punk buster" is this the end of my COD days?!?!?!?! I certainly hope not. Thank you again, Stoney |
