ok*takes deep breath*I go to install my gefrorce4 mx420 i install all the drivers and restart my comp nothing happens i go check to see whats up in device manager and it gives me this error message "This device cannot start (Code 10)" i tryed changing slots i tried reinstalling the drivers i've tried everything.I'm just about fed up with this comp and i'm more then ready to put my hand threw the screen smile.gif.Please if anyone knows anything help meeeeeeee!!!!!!!!

There is only one slot it should go in ( AGP)

damn i'm a idiot okay i'm going to reword what i just said so you guys can understand it. i bought the comp brand new and it has a onboard graphics card. in other words its intergrated and is a piece of crap.

ok so how did you change slots then I assume its a nforce 2 based MB and if so are you using the onboard video or do you have another video card installed agp or pci in that comp if you do make sure you disable the OB video you could getting a hardware conflict

You probably need to go into CMOS and disable the onboard video. or it's possible there is a jumper on the motherboard, check the motherboard manual.

the last one of thouse nforce 2 MB I setup was running the phoenix bois and you could disable the video in the bois if I can rember right it was under advanced settings

Consult your manual first about how to uninstall the old drivers and settings for your intergrated video.

Like Smoke and Sokhar said, you have to basically turn it off.

If what you bought is a PCI card, then it is made specifically for your situation and tech support from the manufacturer should be included with your purchase.

Moe than likely it is no big deal and just a matter of a proper install.
