This story has rightfully grabbed the headlines.
Hero jumps into path of oncoming train to save a life and is
2 inches away from a very grizzly dragging/impact death.

C'mon man, it's New York for Chrissakes! The dude wanted to be the first on the body to score the goods by rifling through his pockets and realized the victim wasn't dead yet. Sooo, he plays it off and comes up the hero. Dumb luck!

blink.gif Okay, just kidding! LOL. Sure does make you hope someone like him is watching your back if you ever need help! Never can have enough of these stories, in my opinion! Thanks for sharing Hellfighter!

It goes without saying....True Hero!!! It's people like him that make this a better place to live. Hopefully he can inspire more people to do good.

Christopher Reeve's Quote:
“A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles.”

Certainly so Sabot! biggrin.gif
I'm very hopeful he has indeed set an imprint in the minds of all about him, 6pak. Ultimate humanity, even with his two young kids next to him, he had an almost an instinctive response to challenge death to save someone else. He did everything necesarry in a moment's thought. Amazing- so yes, I hope the greatest thing about that beyond him getting showered with appreciation is everyone is inspired by him to go out of their way sometime in a day to help others even with small gestures.
