So here's the deal. Last week our cable went out all together. Lasted a few days and then came back up. However, durring game play my ping will go from being fine (60-80) to being insane (150, 250, 350+) it will usually settle back down to about 125 or so but that's still unplayable. This is on almost every server I've been to but it's not PC related as we have another computer in the house doing the same thing. Any ideas about how to proceed? Should I go ahead and call the cable company and start crying now or wait till we have some tests run? Help plz.

Run pingplotter and see where the trouble is (free download from www.pingplotter.com). You'll know because you'll see a great big ping spike at the point of the trouble. If it's not on the first hop (which is from inside your house to outside your house) then it's out of your control. You'll have to tell your cable company and cross your fingers.
