Hey P, try using the iPod updater. Sometimes that can find a balky iPod when all else fails.
http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/ Is there any chance that the USB cord has been damaged? The other issue might be USB power. You need a lot of it for the iPod and if you've got a lot of other devices on your hotrod, you might have trouble. Try disconnecting other USB devices or try connecting it throug a powered hub. |

I have another commonly asked question, how do I get my songs from my iPod onto my computer? A friend put all of his songs on my iPod so I would like to put those on my computer now. Also, my computer won't update my iPod now that new songs are on it.

Obviously, you don't want to steal music, but if your computer crashes and you need to back up from your iPod, there are Apps that will do that for you. If you are using a Mac, try this one: http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/ss.p...tipodaudiofiles If you are using Windows, try this: http://www.thelittleappfactory.com/applica...php?app=iPodRip |

You can use a program like Sharepod to transfer them to and from your iPod.

If it cannot "see" your Ipod, i had the same problem, then i would plug it in and do the sort of reboot for the Ipod, not comp.
Hold in the play and center button, should reset it. not erasing music. Other then that it would be a connection problem, my Ipod died a while back and i havent gotten a new one so i cant help you out anymore then that, sorry. -------------------- (Nick) (www.gfx-tech.net) (Nexus.nc@gmail.com) ![]() |
