CTF rifles, stacking due to better weapon Options

I really don't want to do this but what i experienced today made me... so the garand is oviously better in the CTF rifles only server... its semi, and its morepowerful shots, and not only that, its aim from the hip fire dispersal is smaller then the bolts, which makes the garand an ovious winner... unfortunetly all the seasoned players know this, and they try to be american as much as possible, and the stacking i seen today is just impossible, people waited for sevral minutes untill someone joined axis so they could join allies and get the garand... and of course it was some noobies that joined axis... I feel that if the damage on the garand was made the same as the kar and the fire dispersal from the hip would be enlarged, it would improve gameplay by discouriging people from team stacking... just my 2 cents...

what do you all think...

and I realize that it might have been some outisde source that mod was aquired and changing the weapons specs is not possible, and I understand...

I hope it wasn't MOB waiting to join American! I do prefer the Garand as it is better. But I auto assign then have to kill my 1st American to pickup the Garand. I kinda like it that way. Especially when that 1st American kill is Heat, Cero, or Abuse! LOL

I never saw much advantage but I hate the sites on the garand. So it evens out for me personally. I always auto unles teams are stacked.

i always auto... i look at it like christmas - sometimes it sux and other times i make out like a bandit.

it's interesting but i don't seem to ever pay attention to who is joining, in spectate, or leaving. i just kill whatever i see and play for the win. with some of the players that are there the most i don't feel that either of the weapons gives enough advantage delay joining until your preferred weapon is available.

I suck with both weapons...lol When I play I try and pick up another gun off the ground, just hoping that I will run out of rounds, but it has yet to happen...teeheehee. Is there is another rifle someone can suggest to even it out? I know that we originally put up the server for our TWL rifle team to practice on. I don't think we really meant it to take off the way it did Assault Trooper.

I am sure that we will consider all sugestions.

i used to do german but now that i have used the russian one i auto assign

i hate the garand i cant shoot it whatsoever, the sites on it make me do bad lol

I prefer any of the rifles to the M1 myself. Only benefit to the M1 to me is that it has a larger clip. Although since it can't be reloaded at will this is not always a benefit. I guess I don't play UO enough to notice the difference in the guns though. Just pick one and start shooting at whatever moves.

The garand in this weapons mod is toned-down in strength, reload, and re-chamber to be equal with a boltie.

If you guys find a different publically-published rifles-only mod out there that you think is better, I'll put it up on the server.

i love the grand and the mosin, as for the other 2, i can't shoot them for some strange reason. i love the sight on the grand, for some reason it works for me. As for it being a better gun, the only advantage i see is the more ammo but like it was said before, you can't reload it. As for weapons that shoot better up close, i think the british rifle is best for that.

I really meant to say I just prefer the Garand. I think it's better than the Kar for me....

{MOB} Bullet mentioned on Vent they other day that they should take away the Team selection and leave only Auto assign. Just incase that somehow comes up, I feel that it would be a bad idea. Having the team option gives us the chance to even the teams easier. I wouldn't touch the Mods, I think it's perfect. Just putting my 2 cents in. (If it's worth that)

LOL, they got cool helmets... that must surley raise the morale... we look cool, even when we get rattled by 100 bullets...

Well one word about the garand that when i use it gives me an advantage over a bold-armed opponent... no need to rechaimber... therefore u can shoot, and then bash, and shoot, with bolts after one bash you still try to rechaimber... and as I am the kind of suacidal close-quaters kinda player it fits my style, but the sights are hard for me, so i seldom use it... I'd love it if there was some kinda bayonet mod or something, cause if there was I'd discontinue shooting altogether and jsut go in meele... BANZAII! LOL

The thing about the rifles-only mod we're using, it's a publically-published mod. The only way I could make it so both teams could select the same weapons, and/or make it so it's all only bolties, is if I made a new mod.

And right now I'm concentrating on working with Mike to get COD4 going, tracking down hackers on all the coduo servers, and still doing map hunting/testing/support on Modern Weapons TDM. My plate's a little full right now.

Like I said, if you find a publically-published rifles-only mod out there that you like, let me know. Or if anyone wants to try their hand at weapons modding, go for it.
