Hello folks,

This my be a little late coming but i thought this may help anyone considering COD4.

I found this link at another clans forums and tried to copy and paste but it did'nt work so i'l give you the link as i saw it written......http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/activision2?registration option id=5418

Unfortunatly my system falls in two cat. video card failed, and worst of all opperating system..the cpu i think its called...Thanks microsoft..if it were just my video card i would consider it but im not wiping out win. xp pro 2000 and installing vista thats for sure.

Good luck testing folks, and you can find me "Kicking a Can" in the street all alone in a state of utter depresion in coduo for atleast a few more years.. tongue.gif ..why Me...LOL.

I went to that site and I got an error message. I couldnt get into the game myself and I called tech support, after I told them my specs on my comp the tech told me that he was sorry but my comp would not be able to play the game. Well John replied to my post on the forumns and told me to delete a file and see if that would work and it did the game plays great on my comp. This is my prcessor AMD Athlon 3200+, mmx, 3dnow, ~2.2ghz. I have 1.5 ram and my vid card is a geforce 7800 256 ram.

Mech it sounds like you just need to get a new video card and delete the file which they all talk about....you DONT need vista thats for sure...

Cross,

So thier is still hope that would be great. It sounds to me you guys are having ball over there and im leaning on the bit in hope this can be worked out on my end and join you folks.

what i'll do is later tonight ill run the test again and be as specific as pssable as to where my problems are.

i'll give you my spec's on this comp and go from there.

my good friend Jerry Lewis has a computer at his home and all he lacks in is a new video card.

at the same time he bought a dell demension 510 and weput that compter in my comp room side by side with my comp so on weekends he can stop by play coduo together on weekends.I tasted that comp and that one also only lacks in a video card.He said hey Russ if you want buy a card for my comp and install it your good to go.To be honest i would much rather spend the $ on my machine and buy a medium to high end card for it and be off to the races.i'll post my specs later and hope for the best.

thanks for the input Cross you have givin me new hope. 2_thumbs_up_-_animated.gif

Russ

Ok here are my spec's on this machine:

Dell XPS gen 4...Pent-4,CPU 3.40ghz,CPU speed 3.39, 2 gigs ram.

Ok now i stopped by the test site again ,ran test it says i Failed MIN and Recommended both folders?

In the Min section it says your opperating system fails because you have windows pro 2000 not windows XP/Vista

I went into my computer opened system and it specifically says I run Windows XP Pro 2002 service pack 2.The machine even has a tag on it that says it has Win XP.Im at a loss here .then theyv say go here and buy windows XP serv p[ack 2..Are they trying to sellme something i dont need? What gives.

On the secnd folder they say i failed 3 cat...opperating system again...CPU speed min 2.4 I have 3.4,and of coarse video card which i agree with I have x800xt upgrade to a X1800.My shrader values are low 2.0 but fail me on the second folder, should be 3.0.

This is all so confusing, anyway i hope i cast some light on my problems here.

Thanks for your input and help folks.
