The world never has been able to get along and never will.

One major face-off I see coming along one day in the future will be China and the USA. It seems like China [as its ruled now] is waiting for their day in laying out their cards -a no-bluffing hand -royal flush style.

This is sad news but China is starting to flex their muscles.
Still pisses me off how Bill Clinton actively worked to put advanced missle guidance technology into China's hands. Are we a bunch of suckers or what? http://www.fas.org/news/china/1998/chinapol.htm

I wonder what Hillary's China Policy is?

A good summarizing link Mr.Rocket. One would like to have hoped that the Clinton stunt had an ulterior motive like keeping secret the system had non-obvious defects.
Mustangman's link very good in honing in on China's 'manouevering policy' -they know time's on their side -they get bigger, stronger in everyway day by day - and censoring the local Chinese access to internet freedoms over there to reign in the people's desire for free thoughts.

Don't underestimate China. They have a good grip of United States' balls.... If they want they can crush the USD whenever they want. Not that it is rational for themselves (bad for them as well) - but they have the opportunity if they want.... 69.gif

That is true Kleerance. However, the Chinese economy is probably more fragile than ours. If they did not have the USA to export too, their economy would not go into a recession, but a severe depression. However, 90% of the population lives like it's in a depression right now, so I'm not what efect it would have on the civilian population. LoL.

I've seen people living in dirt caves in China.

Probably the 'Only good thing' about a recession on our side of the pond is the probability of investors coming in to establish manufacuring bases here at a 'bargain' and creating jobs. Something like that on a big scale could give Chinese manufacturers a bumpy road- I'm not sure if it really hurts them though -they have the numbers on their side -and a strictly controlled enviroment; lots of peasant class still but equally lots of super brains there too... and pirating of tech stuff! My Chinese friends say things are developing rapidly there - and imagine they have many cities of populations 20-30 million people each -to keep things in control at that level means alot of police and party officials. You have to imagine when they're going to make a move on/steamroll over Taiwan -that'll be the start of everything in that sphere.

US intelligence.... blink.gif --Yeah right... This is propaganda. There is no rational background for such allegations, where do this stuff come from? Just because it written in some net-site doesn't mean it's true. Nobody (!) wants to challenge US in traditional warfare. Everybody knows that US has the most solid military machinery in the world. It's like challenge Mike Tyson to a fist fight. If China wants to hurt US (don't know why they would) they can do it the legal way, by selling their pile of US bonds they own to the market.....Quite legal - and the USD will be crushed and US will become quite poor. (What does the "US Intelligence" have to say about that?) I think that would be the safe choice for China if this was a real issue. However I think this article is just bullshit based on some artificial fear that's not real.

I wonder whats next. Canada claiming that Michigan an Illinois are historic Canadian territory and they are preparing for war to get it..? You never know....
