Half a decade too late- and after government officials in that meantime from both sides would chirp out 'support the troops' but not seriously look into the returning vets mental well-being, and the obvious hazards these vets have been undergoing and enduring with their long stretches of tours and vicious unseen style of warfare faced in the Iraqi combat zone.
Head wound issues/ mental stress cases/ homeless+jobless issues have risen dramatically in recent years yet most of government on both sides clown around on the subject and refuse to tackle the problem head-on -unless they get a good press promo out of it. The 'official' studies in these problems are starting to roll in - let's hope the vets in crisis that are relegating themselves to being a forgotten class in society get their deserved overdue affections of the government;
