I like how he compares it with hunting rifles.....the AK 47 is an assault rifle that out performed the M16 in vietnam ,as its stopping power could go through tree trunks (M 16 ) couldnot.....it didn`t jam ( as the old saying you can kill with an AK ,but you cann`t KILL an AK ) the M16 had nothing but problems...

Hunting rifles shoot further so the cartridge is filled with more powder for the distanct..therefore it has more kinetic energy stored for maxium damage.....

Why didn`t he put it up against other militry weapons...because he knew it would win..

Just so you know Cross, when it's stored energy its potential energy it does become kinetic energy until the bullet starts moving tongue.gif

mainly he just did it to show everyone that the ak 47 is not the most powerful gun ever made like some people who sit at home seem to think lol dont get me wrong i love the ak series rifles it has to be one of my fav rifles ever made a standerd made ak 47 has an outstanding service life and reliability thus it makes up for its small cartridge in other ways i think

ohh and check this out

I would agree, that the AK is more of an machine gun than assualt rifle. while I am not so sure it out-performed the M16 in 'Nam, it sure looks good on video when some fanatics are firing the AK into the air.
The M16 was clearly designed as a rifle first. Hence the jamming issues.
