Hi Mustang,
My first thought; hype hype hype......... not that the info isn't 'interesting', but how far can it really go into being a respectable indicator of a plot. I lived in Toronto in the 1980s when Armenian radicals [re Armenian genocide at hands of Turkey in early 20th century] threatened on one day to put a bomb in the subway system. Half of the population including me still used the subway that day- the other half weakly yielded to their fears and avoided the subway that day. We can't stop our lives for threats -they exist all over the world and each country can come up with a solution as to why they could be a valid target. If Montrealers wanted to really make themselves a target they would make a big fuss over this 'conspiracy documentary' and catch the eye of potential terrorists who want to make a dramatic publicity stunt playing on peoples fears. While Montreal security on subways are at times fairly visible, at other times they're pretty non-existent -as exampled by the fair amount of brainless-vandals graffiti to be seen throughout the transit system -not like 70s NY, but pretty out of hand anyway. One thing about Montreal [and most Canadian cities ]is the very high mix of cultures/diverse ancestral backgrounds here including alot of arabs [from all over the world- many very hardworking-young and old-with very little if any disenchantment in their new homeland- except for the weather and high taxes One example is a rather heated and stupid debate 20 years ago about sikhs being permitted to wear turbans in the Mounties. I had no problem with it since for over a hundred years the British Army had no problem with sikh units in their army fighting in various campaigns and dying in uniforms wearing just their turbans without helmets. A good decision that it was permitted on the basis of 'nothing wrong' with the idea.... kilted bagpipers play in the rcmp I believe..... Contrast this with our government saying no to vulgar traditions [by our standards] wanting to be adopted here giving a firm flat 'no'... like I believe somalian young 'female circumstion' also several years back. For such a reason of general population 'inclusiveness' I'd say Canada is low on the list for a spectacular terrorist attack -not that our efficient canadian intel has not interrupted actual terror plots and cells however.
