PART 1
i have recently gotten the MOHAA reinstalled onto my computer after having much, much difficulty with my vid card. so, got the vid card fix, did the reinstall of MOHAA from the original CD, got the newest reinstall of missionary, but i cant get into the game. for some reason, the missionary program always says pak file failed and then i am stuck having to restart. i have tried 4 times in the last hour. do i need some sort of patch? has my CD been updated making my MOHAA version outdated? i cant figure out why this is happening because there is nothing but a brand new, stripped down MOHAA install. any suggestions would help. PART 2 since getting numerous fixes on my computer, i have now been subjected to a constant onslaught of pop ups. i realize i have probably downloaded spyware but i dont know how to rid myself of these things. do any of you recommend a free pop up stopper or do i need to go ahead and purchase something? i believe druid had me on the right track before, but i have since erased a lot on my computer, so i am starting new. thanks a lot. futureman -------------------- ![]() |

This?
ftp://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/patches/M...1v9safedisk.exe start>control panel>admin tools>services> Disable windows messenger. You're welcome? If you're getting internet explorer pop ups then get the google bar, it's free and it works. |

God damnit let me edit my posts.
I don't use the google bar, it's on my cousins comp and it seems to do an alright job. Since I've gotten SP2 I haven't had many pop ups. |

I've been having problems with pop ups for a while, and that has been a problem with Miss since bart got rid of the tool bar. However, since I downloaded the newest miss form IW, every time I start miss it loads then sends me back to the miss console. This will take me a couple of days to figure out, i'm sure, but I'm not giving up hope. Hell, we've all been through too much with miss to give up hope! lol

i think i have downloaded some spyware that gives me a popup whenever i type on a message board. seems everytime i am on "reply", the first word gets there, and then something causes either a pop up or makes every key on the keyboard that gets hit to send me a little further down the screen and off of the message i am trying to type.
all i have to do is click, again, in the message box and continue typing. it usually only happens once a message. but, sometimes more. i need a pop up stopper downloaded into my computer. the google bar doesnt help while playing MOHAA. anyone with a relatively cheap one that they trust? -------------------- ![]() |

adaware and spybot are both good popup removers. They act similar to antivirus programs and will scan your comp for the program thats causing the popups.
U can get free versions from their websites (which i can't remember) Look on google and you'll find em ANd like vert said in his roundabout kinda way...did u update to the 1.11 patch for mohaa? -------------------- ![]() |

How odd. I am having the exact same problems. The spyware that I think is causing it is DSO Exploit. Spybot Search and Destroy has removed it in the past, but is unable to currently. Their website says it's a matter of time, but in the mean time I am apparently -------------------- |

Ad-Aware is a good. Webroot's 'Spy Sweeper' is excellent. To browse with no popups at all I use Mozilla Firefox as a browser.http://www.mozilla.org/
