Pretty cool... but the colors of the picture and the bg don't really go well together.
Nice work though, I like the border. This post has been edited by |$aucy|: 07/22/05 5:40pm -------------------- ![]() {MOB}... Often Imitated, NEVER duplicated |

Please.... put your renders behind the border.... I've been spazzing out about it each time I see it, but I just can't take it anymore!
Your background needs some more depth to it. How are you doing your colors? Are you brushing in only black and white then using a color balance layer? You should come to the basement and post your work there as well. -------------------- ![]() |

A simple border:
Once you've finished everything else with your sig, make a new layer on top of everything. Then do Edit>Select All. Then do Edit>Stroke and lay down a 1 px black stroke (make sure the setting is on "center"). Make a new layer and do Edit>Stroke. This time, make the stroke three pixels and choose a color that goes with your sig. Make a new layer and do Edit>Stroke. Do 5 pixels and black. Go to Select>Deselect. Now you will have three layers on top of evereything else in the sig. Pull the top one underneath the bottom oe twice. That means if the layers you made were Layer 10, Layer 11, and layer 12, you should reverse that so that they go Layer 12, Layer 11, Layer 10 from bottom to top. For your colorization, do you go to Image>Adjustments>Color Balance? Or do you actually put in a color balance layer? The Basement 2 is a designer's hangout. Addy is www.thebasement2.com You'll find me, LOM, and (every once in a while) Ghost there, in addition to a lot of other talented designers. -------------------- ![]() |
