Cod2 weapon info Options

I was looking through the weapons info for COD2, with the possibility of doing a mod sometime in the future.
There is around 250 separate setting for each gun. Half of them I have no clue about as Activision/IW never released any information.

I charted a few of the more basic settings, I figured it might be interesting to someone else.

Don't read to much into the pitch/yaw setting as several other factors effect this.
I only listed it as a basic point of comparison.

A short list of what surprised me.
PPSH
This gun seem to fire way to fast.
After checking the fire rate it turns out it's right on the money to what the real gun fired ( 900 rounds/min )
Compared to the Thompson at 700/min or even the mp40 which fires only half as fast at 500/min.


Grease gun
This gun does a lot more damage than it should.
It does more damage than every other MG and SMG except the mp40.
This makes no sense, it only fires a 45acp compared to the BAR which fires a 30-06 rifle round.
Thats just crazy...

Something else I found strange is all the weapons do the same amount of bash damage ( 150 ).
They made the damage exactly the same for all weapons including the pistols.
Then used different settings for the delay and speed of the bash based on the weapon.
This seemed a little stupid to me
They didn't make any difference between the bash damage done between a 3lb pistol and a 20lb machine gun but the did make changes on the speed and delay of the bash based on the weapon size and weight.

The weapon settings are stored in a near impossible to read format, a single concatenated line.
I've converted all of them to a easy to read format.

you sure about the pistol? it often takes 2 hits with a pistol to kill someone. is there anything in there about the spread of the bullets? the grease gun seems to get a lot of headshots.

Is there Run Speed data for the Pistol?

I stand corrected all weapons but the pistols do 150 bash damage, the pistols all do 50.
For the most aprt all the pistols are the same outside of clip size and the very slow reload on the webley

i hate the slow-ass reload
since all weapons do the same, wonder why sometimes when you bash someone it doesnt kill them in one hit. same with the rifles. bolt and scoped. sometimes people dont die in one hit.

ive hit people in the arm or leg with a scope and killed them, this was right when they spawned so i know they had full health. and ive hit people in the chest sometimes with bolt and scope and it doesnt kill them.

i guess its just the shitty hit boxes
