All we have been told is that SAS and other allied forces went in to rescue Norman Kember and 2 Canadians...No gun fire was exchaged, as the terrorists had fled. They had been planing the op for 2 weeks.

Thats all we have been told ,if I find more I`ll let you all know.Special forces soldiers, reported to have been led by the SAS, discovered Mr Kember, 74, tied up, but apparently abandoned, with two other hostages at a Baghdad house in a raid on Thursday.

The three peace activists were released without a shot being fired or a sign of their kidnappers after a 118-day ordeal that gripped the world.
