I wish I had demos of those 3 deaths, 6pak... I'd send them to you to frame. It was 3 excellent kills, you caught me flat-footed 3 times in a row.
Run and gun... works well during spawn killing, CQB in the farm buildings, while defending bases, or in the infantry trails. But out in the open areas, it's definitely going to be a "look both ways before crossing". I know I killed you twice with the SE Bridge Pak45 last night while trying to hold the S flank against a german attack. That pak45 position can be sniped from a distance (just move carefully and don't let the gunner spot you at the South Bunker area). Or you can use the trails to slip in along the treeline and get behind an inattentive gunner. Even if you can't kill the gunner, keeping them distracted by rustling the foliage near them helps your team get tanks forward. I was also lucky last night on the SE Bridge Pak45. I had 1-3 teammates supporting me by performing counter-sniper duty and helping to ambush german tanks as they assaulted via the S Forest. Intel and teamwork are going to be pretty important on a map like this. -------------------- |

Intel and teamwork are going to be pretty important on a map like this. We're ending up with Tuchola threads EVERYWHERE ... but, I have to compliment you Scrap on the work you and Silver did protecting that SE Bridge approach. You had a couple of other guys who helped, but clearly weren't as commited. If you had had just one or two more who understood the importance of that you would have had an impervious defense. I don't understand people who whine about "too many tanks," when a defensive position with one Pak, no tanks and a couple of very talented rocket boys can stop an entire armor column in their tracks. Bravo! Silver's moving down the hill from the Pak was real important to help rattle the initial tank push and then served as a counter-sniping defense. Those trees provide a lot of cover for snipers. It will be important to ensure that you have some defensive troops deployed near the bridge and that small bunker to stop them from moving into position. Having those forward troops communicating with you and helping direct your Pak shots will be advantageous as well. |
