Howdy,

I was reading about mods to servers and somthing about editting scripts to make the skills of the weapons different.. what does this mean. Could someone edit a script and change how they react to a map, like run faster, or jump higher, or even shoot straighter? would PB even find these script changes? I remember we had to load somting called greasegun or something to get into barb one time (i think) and it messed up my other games, is that an edit of a script? Now that i am getting into the game more i am even more curious of the intricacies.....

undead smells...

LOL

Just to clarify, these are server scripts; they let the server admin select how weapons, etc, perform on a given server. They effect all players on the server equally. They are NOT scripts an individual can run to give themselves an advantage over others.
Personally, i like the one that makes the PPSH fire bazooka rounds.

Server mods, such as the "greasegun" one you had to download, are created to add non-stock elements to the game. They will require a mod file both on the server, and on each players computer. All kinds of amateur programmers put these mods together, and sometimes they conflict with one another. A mod that works fine on one server may conflict with mods running on other servers, resulting in an error when you try to load them. Such is life.
