Why is the spawn protection lame? It should be about improving the gameplay, not about how you get majority fo your points. Seriously, sometimes I wish there weren't points involved so the spawn kill issue wasn't so huge. If there weren't points to be had or stats to pad, the spawn raping wouldn't happen very often. It should be about playing and having fun... I've seen too many people leave the Cassino server because they were killed in succession from their spawn. Not the message I'd like to send to noobs on the MOB server. Just my opinion.

I have no problem with spawn killing. It happens and its legal on mob servers. Do I get frustrated when I get killed three times in a row in the spawn, sometimes. I also laugh about it sometimes since it means that my team is not working together well.

My problem with tdm is that I believe it leads to weaker team play. In base or conquest or dom or even S&D a group must work together to win. In tdm, it seems more of an everyman for himself situation. That's not always the case, but it seems the norm to me.

If you like, I will pm you the address of the server that we (6pack, cudadad, cudakid, mormon marine, rob, silver, and I) have been playing on. They have very limited spawn protection ( a few seconds).

I'm not sure if the cases that I'm talking about are as much a weak team or a team not working well together. Usually what I see is one team knowing where the spawn is and either camping it so that as the player appears, he is gunned down be several people or they spawn and are immediately sniped. Many times I've seen a team hit with artillery or sometimes even a satchel pack or two... as they are all respawning, they are taken out over and over again. Some call it still, I call it stat padding. I think somewhere deep inside, people think it makes their penis bigger or something. Usually after an episode like the above, people drop off the server.

Back in the day when I ran my own team, stats became an issue where people were so stuck on getting a bash on someone, they would let their teammates die as they were getting closer for a bash. Kind of lame considering it's suppossed to be TDM. I'm not saying stats should go away, but sometimes it's completely obvious why people do certain things while we're playing and it's easy to spot a stat whore.
