Handcuffing in fantasy sports, especially football, is basically made so you don't get screwed by injuries. Many leagues just have handcuffing like WSH RB, so if Portis is injured you'll still pick up points from the backup. Yahoo has never had handcuffing in the free leagues, oh well.
In the past years, I've been screwed and have screwed other teams. When Priest Holmes went down last season I snagged Johnson ASAP and used him for huge trade bait for a good QB. All and all, there are pros and cons to having and not having handcuffs. Depending on the amount of people that join the MOB league, we might not have to worry about it at all... we'll have a talent rich free agent pool. -------------------- ![]() |
