Actually Druid, we have two servers and two vents, as well as two websites (one just for downloads). It's a redundancy thing. However, there are some people that some of us like to communicate with and play with. Goosedown is one of those people. Since we don't want to chat about our vent in game, and they don't spend much time worrying about the forums because they like to play more than read this stuff, How would you suggest that we communicate with them?

HarryCarry has never been anything but polite on vent. Lipton is always polite. Rutuu felt like he walked into an ambush when he entered the lobby and first Cannuck (who was polite) and then others came up to tell him that he couldn't be there. Some others are young and headstrong, but they were NOT recruiting or otherwise breaking rules.

As someone who is analytical (it's in my old job title of Operating Systems Analyst), I can't help but wonder what the unstated point of all of this is. I suppose it could be a cooling off period, but for whom. Is tehre some excitement that I'm unaware of. I suppose it could be a protective measure, but why would one want to protect people from talking to their friends. Then, of course, there is the third possibility...

Please keep this in perspective.
People left.
Now come back to complain about a situation we didn't cause but are forced to deal with.
When we respond to their complaints, we are then accused of creating drama.
Kind of circular logic wouldn't you agree.


As for this
In case you don't remember, when [RaW} banned MOB members based on our clan we all thought that it was stupid. The other things that they did, deleting posts, banning people from their forums if they complained seemed as silly and childish as admin killing people to plant a base.
That is by no means the same thing. An out of control [RAW] admin kicked a banned a MOB member and then went through the whole B.S. on their forums without any justification as [RAW] later admitted and apologized for. That is by no means the case here.
If someone with BsS tags has done something wrong, it's a reflection on the rest of the team.
I'm sure you've heard the saying "Your judged by the company you keep"
Well, same thing here.
I agree that puts several people in an unfair & unfortunate position, as I've said now for the 10th time.
But WE DIDN'T PUT YOU IN THAT POSITION.
So please don't complain to us about it.

BTW I'm only holding BsS to the same level I wouldn't expect you to hold MOB to. Or for that matter, the same level I've held MOB players to in the past. In the mohaa day there were several MOB player who were banned from several other servers for spawn killing. I've publicly said on several occasions if anyone plays on another server, don't complain if they get banned for breaking that server's rules.
Do you really want me to list all the reasons why we might not want some BsS people on here?

It's been a rule of MOB from the very beginning for other clans not to recruit or advertise their server or site on ours. It's been listed on the server rules from the very beginning. It says so on the MOTD screen that you see every single time you've join our servers.
The above rule is exactly why I just deleted Choth's last post.
I understand T/A6pak just said to do it. So I don't hold you accountable.

I'm sorry but I don't believe how out of proportion this whole thing has been blown into.
You guys are making this out to be as though we are keeping life time friends from ever communicating again.
For the THRID time, it's temporary.
No one is saying people can't go to your server or your vent.
All we are doing is holding you to the same rules we've held every other clan to.
Don't advertise on our site or server.
If all these people were such great friends, I'm sure they have another way to communicate besides through MOB.
Haven't you guys heard of email, Xfire, Yahoo or the other dozens ways?
