My Oct06 PC Gamer mag just arrived in the mail. On the disk was the Company of Heros beta demo with a nice article on the game in the mag. They rated it a 96% and after I did some looking at the basic training on the demo, it really looks quite good. When I get some more time, I will finish the training and get into the game a bit more. I would call it a Strategy + FPS game. You must study the map,
find out your best options in attack & defend. Then pick your troops, build different buildings in the best places, wait for your army types to be organized and THEN, deploy them all (one at a time) to where you think they should be. This probably takes a human player 3-4 minutes if you know exactly what to do. It probably takes the AI about 90 seconds because it can all happen almost at once. So time, not AI is your worst enemy !! So you see, this game can be a lesson in frustration.... JIM PS. And that is on the EASY computer AI setting.
