How about we explore 'covering planted bases' tactics on Barby. We looked at near everything else. Everyone's input please;
My tactics for covering are as follows;
G1 - I like using the center German pak gun. Germans rushing to defuse never expect to be shot in the back as they go forward. you can get a good toll of wehrmacht infantrya nd tanks before they figure out where they're being mowed down from. There are a few other 'shoot them behind' spots too near the pak gun.
G2 - Every1 likes setting up behind G2. I like to do it with a satchel in hand too... ready to toss it over the bunker into the stairwell if defusers start defusing.
G3 - Set up in a tank in the lane behind G3, ambushing defusers rushing from the center spawn shed and mow them down as they hop over the fence on the slope as they head uphill to G3
R1 - On foot I like setting up in the sandbag/tree corner across the road from R1, with AT weapons and satchels-> nail the tanks / jeeps from behind and shoot infantry in back unseen.
R2 - Set up on foot in trenchworks to the left of R2, nail defusers and tanks in their flank.
R3 - Set up in a tank where rusky center tank spawn is [next to their rear/center AT gun.] Slay ruskys from that spot as they try to enter R3 entrance to defuse

Noticed yesterday, when teams were 5 vs 5, that one german planted R3 and stayed inside to defend bomb. Then arrived the only defending ruskie and killed german on stairs on R3 and then started to defuse. Then sneaked next german, ax-Yellowman that was, from that house closest to R3 and killed ruskie, who was consentrating to defuse. That could be one method covering planted base, if you can´t capture any ruskie tanks or you don´t have a axis tank with you. Not sure if this works with large numbers of players on server.

Actually it works very well, and the more, the merrier! We did this in the forest last night while destroying the Russian 3. Several of us Germans hid around the three and one inside. Lots and lots of smoke. As the Rooskies attempted to head into the bunker we mowed them down with small arms fire, grenades and satchels. Took the base, no problems. Even fended off two Russian tanks attempting to cover. GREAT FUN! Anyway, this tactic works great, coordination is the key!
