Avatar-rules, Is it just me? Options

Many of us MOB'sters are family people, and we are in this forums at least one time each day. Myself I have a laptop in our livingroom and I check the forums regularly, often with my children hanging around me. I must admit than some avatars from several MOB Regs is not suited for domestic area. We have Grandparents, grandchildren and children watching this site. And personally I would like to have a general rule which forbid sexual or violent avatars. After all this is not a personal homepage - It's the MOBCLAN site.

I didn't know you could disable avatars, and I'm guessing some of the people who have problems with them didn't know either.

This is a case where not everyone can be totally satisified. But if avatar's can be turned off in your personal view, I think that should be what people do. Given they weren't against the rule, people shouldn't have to be putting a bunch of thought into what may or may not cross the line. Rather, if you think people are crossing the lline, disable your avatar view.

And I say this as someone with completely inoffensive avatars.

Anyway, just tried it. Go to "my controls" then on the left, "board settings", then change the Avatar choice to "no". You can still see everything else.

Now that I tried it, it's a no-brainer. Don't like inoffensive avatars...turn them off. Everyone in the forums shouldn't be subject to opinion of a few. But still, I say that with the utmot respect for Klerrence and Rommell and TBN. Great guys, but seriously, how about just changing your avatar view???

I want's Flat's girl back.
