I don't understand, I really don't. my computer keeps updating at the least appropiate time... I checked on taskmanager, updating takes up 30% of the weak aready processor I got...

Examples: I was playing at Tuchola last night and us, germans were storming r2, the last enemy bunker, the russians resisted, and I had a sniper rifle, anw was picking off those peasky pak gunnes, and running in straight lines fools. Then BAM! framerate drops to like 5... and at such conditions one has to be the terminator to hit anything. Why? Cause my computer starts updating...

Another example: So I was playing Cossacks 2, u probably never heard of it but that's ok.. ita basically a RTS, so its working fine, I send everything I got at the enemy, and then bam... everything slows, and I know its updating cause I checked, and of course cause I can't see anything, and whole battalions get routed, I still win, but the caulties are staggering.

I know there option to turnoff autoputade, and I sure did, but now some Lucomscallproxy.exe and LUAupt.exe turn up and mess it all up for me.

I just want to know if its normal that it updates at times when U need the processing power... or is my computer just a bastard and does it to annoy me because its possesed by the devil?

Polska, you can shut down Norton, completely, by way of "msconfig". Once you are finished playing, go back in and re-enable your antivirus using "msconfig". Norton is a huge drain on your computers resources. That is why I stopped using Symantec Products completely. I now use AVG Free antivirus (free, by the way. Google it) and use Windows firewall, and haven't had a virus since I stopped searching for and downloading cheats to CODUO. tongue.gif

Norton is really overkill, unless you are exposing your computer to sites that might be infected, or opening suspicious emails. I have AVG installed on my computer, but I have it disabled all the time. I update it once a month! NO VIRUSES. You will absolutely notice marked improvement in disabling or eliminating Norton- resource hog- antivirus.
