what happend to stock maps? Options

i had the night free last night (fri) and it doesn't happen often.was stoked to get on some stocks but empty until 10 pm ,wtf i just went to bed ? where is every one, most of the other stocks servers are full.

Is this the same mod that we have always had? Or is it something you guys have added as of late?

I wonder how many other servers (stocks) don't require any download whatsoever if you have never played there before? Seems like everytime I join one, I always have to download something....usually. Maybe it is a turnoff to some. If the factory sounds aren't too intolerable, then maybe give it a go and see what happens.

The sound mod has been on our stock server for a couple of years at least. I'm kind of old-school to say the least and I used to avoid all servers that had mods. I even went as far as to filter them out of my game browser. My two nephews were gaming with me one day and one of them stumbled into the MOB server. If it wasn't for him, I never would have found all these great friends. I wonder how many other stuck-in-the-muds are out there. Of course, perhaps we have too many of those types already!!

I think we should put it up for a vote. Clearly, the popularity of the stock server has taken a dramatic dive. Last year at this time we were consistently ranked in the top 30 most popular servers. Now we are flirting with disaster in the 300s. We've got to come up with something to attract more people. Perhaps we could try it for a month and if the server fails to gain in popularity, we could bring the mod back. That way, some_help can listen to cool sounds as he wanders around on an empty map!
