So I hope someone can help me I have a problem. My problem is this I recently bought a new computer it was an HP and I know some people will say that is my problem but putting that aside I bought this computer, it has 2G Ram an Nvidia 7300 graphics card a core 2 duo processor and I have cable internet but with all this CODUO is still not running well for me I'm not really seeing a lag (I am in COD2 but that's a story for another post) it just seems to stutter a little sometimes when I run it just like I said stutters and when I come out of a run to react when I see someone my weapon does not come up as fast as I would like it to. I know I usually put up good numbers (I almost exclusively play MWCM) but I just think they could be alot better if it were not for this problem. I kind of hope Steel will see this because that's who was helping me with my original problems but anyone's suggestions will be most welcome.

Reckon it's best to try the simple things first. Set all of your in-game video and sound settings to the lowest, and see if that helps. If it does, then raise them one at a time to what you'd like, and see if you can find one that seems to cause the problem, then reduce that one back down.

The thing is, even if this is a new computer, you could have outdated drivers, for instance, for video and/or ethernet.

Next, google for "TC Connection Booster" - it's a freebie utility that tweaks your computer's ethernet settings to make them optimal.

Of course, you should have nothing else running on your machine (google for "Enditall" to stop all unnecessary processes from running on your machine), nor have anything else using your cable modem connection while you are gaming. This includes anyone else in the house using the cable modem.

Lastly for now, several months ago, I tweaked my virtual memory setting to make it smoother for Titan Quest, and now I notice that when I first go into a COD map, for the first 30 seconds or so, my game stutters. My computer is having to load the map and things that it used to pre-cache before I monkeyed with my virtual memory setting. It doesn't bug me enough to change it back, lol. Anyway, you might want to look at that also.
