I know someone in MOB builds computers, can you give me your input on some stuff?
Building a new pc soon 80% for gaming, 10% for dl movies and music 10% other crap. Im not worry about cost. Processor.? Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E6700 (4MB L2 Cache,2.66GHz,1066 FSB Memory?4GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz- 4DIMMs HardDrive?500GB Performance RAID 0 (2 x 250GB SATA 3Gb/s 7200 RPM HDDs) Graphics Card? {which one?} 256MB nVidia Geforce 7300LE TurboCache 256MB ATI Radeon X1300 Pro 256MB nVidia GeForce 7900 GS Sound Card? Sound Blaster® X-Fi™ XtremeMusic (D) Sound Card Or anything eles that is better? That I can get in Canada. I was thinking in a month or 2 from now. Thanks guys for your help. To add to what Sabot was saying, the easiest way to research something, if you don't want to read article after article, is to remember the general rule, you get what you pay for. See 2 600W power supplies, and one is half the price of the other...well, I can give you an answer with 95% confidence which is of higher quality! Of course, you can spend outrageous amounts to for something that's only slightly better. Generally, stay in the middle to upper part of the price range if you want quality. Also, like other mention, you're video card choices seem to be a little on the low end considering the total package you're putting together. Id at least get 2 of those in a SLI config, or go to even a better 512 card with the theory of adding a second in the future in a SLI config. -------------------- ![]() |
