Hey guys and gals!

Just did a little research on some tanks that I like and listed them in order of top 5.
You could do some checking yourself and see what you think.

Top 5 Tanks in the world:

#1 --- German - "Leopard 2A6"
#2 --- American - "Abrams M1A2s"
#3 --- Israeli - "MerkavaMk.3"
#4 --- Russian - "T-90"
#5 --- French - "Leclerc"

Here are some images of these tanks, hope you enjoy looking at them.

Military Channel Still Ranks Abrams as #1 tank in the world. Plus considering all the other tanks are built using proprietary information about the Abrams. The A2 version of the Abrams is fitted with a Rhinemetal 120mm smooth-bore cannon. The same as deployed on the Leopard. And I think the British Challenger 2 should have been listed. The tank took a direct hit from another MBT, and 5 anit-tank RPG's, including heavy and small-arms fire and it only broke the sight aperture on the cannon. It returned to maintenance and within one hour of repair, returned to the fight. Plus the Chobham Armor, I believe is used on all of your listed tanks. Just my 2 cents.

Yes, I must agree, the Challenger should be in the top 5. Don't know what I was thinking when I put the Leclerc in the top 5. Must say that the best five tanks in history of armored warfare has the Russian "t34/87" the American "sherman" the German "leopard" the Israeli "Merkava", can't remember the 5th one on that list, but this was the History Channels top tanks ever.

Must say that many of the tanks out there are so closely matched it makes it hard to choose, I love military hardware however plain distructive power can't cut it alone as you all know.

Next thing i wanna look at are some of the lesser known military vehicles, the ones that never makes it to the books.
