Shooting at Virginia Tech Options

Of course, being up here in Quebec and us having the campus shooting spree recently my first reaction was 'Will it never end'. Again my initial reaction was to round-up and destroy all these whackos without trial before they can strike. But then I get back to my initial thought and how mankind can stop obliterating each other callously. Apparently they're finding out this 'guy' Cho Seung Hui-who did the shooting had written hate laced stories. One thing these 'people' seem to have in common is bruised warped egos. So I wonder if its not a case of money being the root of evil, but f**'d up egos being the worst culprit for all of man's worst crimes. I'm glad we're [education system] 'starting' to make inroads in getting kids to adjust to critical stages in their lives, but I hope our whole society, and globally we can catch and 'pacify' the ones who slip through the cracks in time before they flip out insanely.

ps.I know what you mean BarG,.... up here we more or less got back into normal mode as a city within a week. In one way its telling these maniacs even though they created a hideous event, the people won't let their way of normal life be held hostage are damaged no further.

Yes I agree with you 6-pak; even though we don't know the full story yet [apparently recent previous bomb threats at the school taught them how to go in lockdown mode] there was apparently a lapse in immediate lockdown. I'm not sure, but they say maybe chiang/shooter made the previous bomb threats to test the enforcement response - or was it to give a false sense of security so that people on campus would believe it was a false alarm and proceeded normally when initial reports came in.Fortunately the Dawson Campus up here [in theQuebec shooting spree] was 'small' so a search for the rapid reacting fast thinking cops up here zoomed in on the shooter very fast.
