i have a mx518 (not wireless) i usually play with the speed all the way up . my son about four days ago was playing with it and got syrup all over the bottom. i tried to clean it but its seems to be skipping across the mouse pad and its like looking at a strobe light. anyone have any ideas as to what to clean it with ? its not only effecting my play but giving me headaches
 .if i have to buy a new one , can someone recomend an awesome one under a 100 bucks ? --------------------  |

Your best bed would be to pull it apart piece by piece and find where it's messed up. Soapy water should do the trick to get it clean.
As for new mice: I'm currently looking at that new Micro$oft Habu. It's powered by the Razer copperhead engine but it feels nicer in the hand than the copperhead. You could probably pick one up down there for $50-$60 --------------------  |
