i have a mx518 (not wireless) i usually play with the speed all the way up . my son about four days ago was playing with it and got syrup all over the bottom. i tried to clean it but its seems to be skipping across the mouse pad and its like looking at a strobe light. anyone have any ideas as to what to clean it with ? its not only effecting my play but giving me headaches sad.gif .

if i have to buy a new one , can someone recomend an awesome one under a 100 bucks ?

Yes, wax paper. I thought it up because that's what I use when my clothes iron gets draggy.

Lay a sheet of wax paper down on a nice, smooth, solid surface, like the kitchen counters. Then run your mouse around on it. If you keep your mousepad handy, you can test to see if you've got it slick enough.

For the mousepad, I just wipe around on my mousepad, (BTW it's a hard Func mouse pad, not a cloth one).

It kinda feels like if you added teflon mousefeet, but it's FREE!!!! I keep a piece of wax paper with my computer for refreshing the slickness any old time.
